THE TOP OF THE STAIRS
Something so simple as a wheelchair on top of a staircase provides
for a genuinely chilling moment in the 1980 film, The Changeling.
The rickety old wheelchair chases a woman down the stairs, and shows
up repeatedly in surprisingly scary moments. The Changeling is a
great underrated haunted house movie with a lot of scares, including
a dramatic seance bit, a truly skin crawling death flashback, and a
creepy bit with a rubber ball (below).
